Publisher Description
Enter Space connects your cloud storage accounts to your Apple devices and folds them into Files / Finder so they feel native - and ships a v5 toolkit to actually USE that storage well: a duplicate finder with image, video & audio similarity, a storage analyzer, and a code editor with a real git client.
One app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV & Apple Watch.
SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED
Enter Space needs an in-app purchase to use: a Monthly or Yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Every feature described below is included with any of them; nothing is sold separately. New subscribers start with a free trial, and Family Sharing is supported.
THE V5 TOOLKIT
. Doppel Duplicate Finder - find exact or visually & audibly similar images, videos, and audio on any remote. Bulk Keep / Keep None / Invert, rule-based winners, persisted hash cache so re-scans are instant.
. Space Inspector - ncdu-style storage analyzer: drill into folders by cumulative size, multi-select bulk delete, QuickLook anywhere in the tree.
. Code Editor + Git - multi-tab syntax-highlighting editor with a full git side-panel (stage, commit, branch, merge, pull, push, stash, revert), SSH Key Manager, token store, Git Mirror local clones, and HTML / Markdown live preview.
CORE FEATURES
. Built-in Media Gallery for photos, audio and video as a slideshow. 360° video supported by swipe-to-pan.
. File Locking and File Versioning on any supported connection.
. Time Portal - point-in-time restoration of any file or folder.
. Quick public-link sharing for providers that support it.
. Read / write across all configured remotes.
. Rename many files at once - select two or more, choose Rename All, and build the new names from a pattern ({name}, a {n} counter, {ext}) or find & replace, with a live old → new preview that flags collisions before anything is touched.
. Encrypt / decrypt on the fly. Create Aliases for fast access to any folder on any cloud.
. Widgets for iPhone, iPad & Mac - Photo Slideshow, Storage Dashboard, Bandwidth and Sync Status - plus a used/free capacity bar on every storage location.
NATIVE FILES INTEGRATION
. Spotlight Index, Time Machine Backup, Download / Evict via the File Provider Service.
. Mac: a file system extension can mount your remotes as a real volume that Finder and Terminal see - switch a remote on or off and the volume updates in place.
. In-app remote file browsing, local bookmarks, cross-remote file ops.
. Accepts files from other apps via the share sheet and Open With.
AUTOMATION
. Schedule sync tasks (copy, move, sync, bisync, photos backup) with rich triggers - including App Intents.
. Run Now from the context menu - last-in-wins, no waiting on the queue.
SUPPORTED CLOUDS
Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, pCloud, Box, Mega, Microsoft Azure Files, Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, Backblaze B2, Amazon S3-compatible storage, Google Cloud Storage, and many more rclone backends.
PROTOCOLS
FTP, SSH / SFTP, HTTP, WebDAV, SMB / Samba.
Built on the open-source rclone project. You can drop in an rclone.conf to configure any backend rclone supports. You choose which remotes appear in Files / Finder.
SECURITY
A local web server with a rolling password runs on the device for local-only communication. External traffic uses each provider's standard secure protocol. SSH keys live in iCloud Keychain and ride between your devices.
PRIVACY
Enter Space facilitates connections to YOUR cloud accounts. We don't host storage, we collect zero usage data, and there's no telemetry. All file transfers go directly from your device to your cloud, through rclone running locally on your device. Tested heavily but you accept responsibility for any data loss. Use at your own risk.

Version History Version 7.2.1
• Fixed: re-sending missing items in Photos Backup now starts uploading right away, with live progress, and never replaces the backup's database.
• Fixed: a signed-out remote no longer pauses all of Files, and temporary network errors no longer pause it either. Settings now offers Share Files Diagnostics and Reset Files Connection in case it still happens.
• Fixed: Enter Space could be ended by iOS shortly after you left the app.
• Fixed: scheduled syncs to a Google Drive remote on iPhone and iPad no longer fail at the start with a chunk size error. 7.2.1 1d ago Version 7.2.0
• New: Integrity and Schedule. Check any Copy, Sync or Photos Backup against its source to see what is missing or wrong, then repair it in one step. Optionally run the check on a schedule, with automatic repair.
• New: Photos Backup can run a full backup on an interval, and Force Backup now also checks Live Photo motion and RAW companions.
• Fixed: the Files app could keep showing that Enter Space is paused even though syncs were running. 7.2.0 2d ago Version 7.1.3 — security update
• Fixed: sharing a video from the Photos app to Enter Space failed. Saving it to a remote stopped at Paste with "could not be found", and opening it showed "no such file". Shared photos and videos are now copied into Enter Space before the share sheet closes, and keep their original names.
• Updated to rclone 1.75.2, which includes security fixes from rclone 1.75.2: sign-in tokens, keys and custom headers are no longer passed on to another server after a redirect, crafted paths and links can no longer reach outside a shared or synced folder, and the built-in servers are hardened.
• Fixed: Enter Space could leave its internal control server reachable on your local network.
• Fixed: deleting a remote's own top-level folder in the Files app deleted everything stored in that remote. That folder can now only be opened and filled; a delete, rename or move of it is undone.
• Fixed: a BiSync with no delete limit stopped at the first deleted file.
• Fixed: a folder containing a file name with a quote or backslash could appear empty.
• Fixed: Edit Remote and Rename Remote on iPad, Versioning Settings and Settings > Scheduled Syncs now open every time, and settings switches move when tapped.
• Fixed: Enter Space could quit without a trace when a connection closed first.
• Fixed: a new encryption password now applies straight away, renaming an item that was already gone no longer leaves an empty folder, and Markdown previews escape file names. 7.1.3 3d ago Version 7.1.1
• Small fixes and improvements. 7.1.1 5d ago Version 7.1.0
• Restore to Photos: put backed-up photos back into your Photos library, one at a time or a whole selection. Live Photos, RAW+JPEG pairs, edits, dates, favorites and albums come back as they were, and anything already in your library is skipped.
• Photos Backup now saves the RAW of RAW+JPEG photos, the motion of edited Live Photos and each photo's exact original. Existing backups are upgraded automatically on the next run.
• Live Photos: tap the LIVE badge to play the motion with sound, or watch it as a video.
• Fixed: syncing deletions in Photos Backup now removes deleted photos from backups kept in a folder.
• Fixed: remotes on the Mac's Enter Space volume now show their real names. 7.1.0 6d ago Version 7.0.13
• Photos Backup now keeps the motion in Live Photos. It used to upload only the still image; the video part is now uploaded alongside it, under a matching filename.
• The code editor, media viewer, Siri phrases and Finder extension are now translated into more languages. 7.0.13 Oct 5 Version 7.0.12
• Photos Backup now keeps the motion in Live Photos. It used to upload only the still image; the video part is now uploaded alongside it, under a matching filename. 7.0.12 Oct 4 Version 7.0.11
• Photos Backup now uploads to every S3-compatible service. On some services every photo failed to upload, while ordinary uploads to the same place worked.
• When an upload fails, the Activity Log now shows the reason the service gave. 7.0.11 Oct 3 Version 7.0.10
• Folders you've opened before now keep up with your storage: files added, changed or deleted elsewhere appear or disappear on their own.
• On Apple Watch, the Digital Crown now adjusts the volume while a video or song plays, with the familiar volume indicator beside the crown. Drag the progress bar to move through a track. 7.0.10 Sep 25 Version 7.0.8
• More of Enter Space now appears in your language: the Photos sidebar and timeline, file states and counts in Time Portal, Doppel's match types, the code editor's status bar, and section titles on Apple TV.
• Downloading a whole folder from Finder works again on the Mac.
• Long downloads in Finder and the Files app are no longer cut off after ten minutes, and a download that fails now tells you why straight away. 7.0.8 Sep 24 Version 7.0.7
• Downloading a whole folder now works on iPhone and iPad. Before, the Files extension was cut off part-way through ("Couldn't communicate with a helper application") and started over. It now downloads a few files at a time, and waits for its configuration before reading anything.
• "Syncing Paused" no longer sticks. Any failure at all used to tell the system you were signed out, which pauses the whole Enter Space location: downloads stop, the list of remotes stops updating. Only real sign-in problems say that now, and opening the app clears a location that is already paused.
• New on iPhone and iPad: Settings › Advanced › System › Reset Files Integration, which removes Enter Space from the Files app and adds it back when the system's own state for it is stuck.
• A fresh install no longer switches on remotes that live on your other devices.
• Folders holding Enter Space's own lock files download again in Finder and the Files app.
• Apple Watch: items the watch asked the iPhone for are delivered again, so a library that stalled part-way through now finishes syncing. 7.0.7 Sep 23 Version 7.0.5
• Media and other files no longer stop loading with "Unauthorized" after your screen has been locked. Enter Space no longer renews its internal connection password while the keychain is locked, and repairs one that had drifted out of step.
• The Files and Shortcuts apps are now called by their names in your language throughout Enter Space. 7.0.5 Sep 22 Version 7.0.4
• Encrypted (crypt) remotes now open in the Files app and Finder. The key Enter Space prepares for them stopped working whenever any of your devices renewed its internal password, so the Files app could almost never use it. After updating, open each encrypted remote in Enter Space once. 7.0.4 Sep 21 Version 7.0.3
• Folders with accented names, such as "Università", now show their contents in Finder and the Files app, and their files download.
• Enter Space's own file browser now opens those folders too, on services that store such names in decomposed form.
• Saving from Finder to an encrypted remote on some S3-compatible storage no longer fails with "encrypted hashes differ".
• Deleting a folder in Finder now removes its files on S3, B2 and other bucket storage.
• Renaming or moving a folder on S3, B2 and other bucket storage now keeps its files in that folder, instead of under a copy of the old path.
• Saving a document a second time no longer stops with "changed by another application".
• Renaming in Finder no longer greys out Rename and Move to Trash on the folder around it, and no longer downloads the file again.
• Saving several times in quick succession no longer brings back an earlier version.
• Every upload from Finder and Files is now checked; a save that didn't arrive intact is repeated or reported instead of silently damaged.
• TextEdit documents with images (.rtfd) and other package documents now sync.
• Moving a file into another folder under a new name now puts it in that folder, and renaming a folder keeps the files inside it.
• Updating Enter Space no longer resets its Finder location, so unfinished edits are kept and downloaded files aren't downloaded again.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 7.0.3 Sep 17 Version 7.0.2
• A single-file sync can be saved under a different name. When a scheduled Copy or Move has one file as its source, the new "Save as" field beside the destination names the file that gets written. Leave it empty and the file keeps its own name, exactly as before.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 7.0.2 Sep 11 Version 7.0.1
• "Exclude all other files" now excludes all other files. The rule Enter Space wrote for it could not match a file at the top of the source folder, so a sync meant to carry one named file carried that file plus everything sitting beside it — and for a flat folder, it copied the lot.
• A filter rule can name a file, and the browse button finds one. The picker beside every include/exclude rule only offered folders, on local disks, external drives and remotes alike. It now opens files too — and writes the pattern rclone actually matches, which is relative to the source folder, not the absolute path it used to hand back.
• A scheduled sync can be a single file. Copy and Move take one file as their source: pick a file in the source browser, or tick "Source is a single file". The run addresses that file directly — no folder is listed, no filter rules are needed, and nothing beside it can be swept along.
• Copy Command on the Mac now produces a command that runs. It passed a flag rclone does not have, put every flag where rclone could not parse it, and named two settings the app never sends. Subcommand and paths lead, every flag is quoted and in --flag=value form, and the flags it prints are the ones the schedule really carries.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 7.0.1 Sep 11 Version 7.0.0
• Your storage mounts as a real disk in Finder — and on macOS 27, nothing extra has to be installed for it. Enter Space now mounts its own file system extension directly, so the separate helper app is never required, launched or even asked. The helper was always an optional download, and when it was missing a mount could fail with nothing to explain it. On macOS 26 the helper still does the mounting, and Serve volumes (WebDAV, FTP, NFS) still use it on every version.
• The volume is quicker to browse. The extension now talks to the app over a pool of connections instead of one shared socket, so concurrent requests stop queueing behind each other — cold folder listings had been waiting two to four seconds at the head of that line.
• Turning a remote on or off edits the mounted volume in place instead of unmounting it and restarting every other remote, so files you have open elsewhere stay open. The provider icon in the storage list is a true master switch: switching a remote off takes it out of the volume, not just out of Finder.
• Two data-safety fixes in that extension. A malformed reply used to be read as the end of the file, so a read could come back silently truncated — an image that loads its top rows and dissolves into noise is what that looked like — and a failed write was reported as stored. Both now fail out loud.
• Rename many files at once. Select two or more items and choose Rename All. Build the new names from a pattern — {name} for the current name, {n} for a counter that pads itself, {ext} for the extension — or find and replace, and check every old → new name in a live preview. Names that would collide are flagged before anything is touched.
• Downloads are a queue you can watch and control: pause, resume and stop them one at a time, three running at once, and stopping one keeps what it already fetched. A half-downloaded file can never play as though it were whole.
• The backup warnings read properly in every language. They had been built from an English sentence with the verb and the pronoun passed in as values, which left English words stranded mid-paragraph in the other eight languages. A run's status word and an offline pin's sync state are translated too.
• A closed lid is no longer a failed backup. A run the Mac sleeps through — or that Enter Space is quit under — is recorded as Interrupted rather than failed: the result is unknown, not bad, and the next run picks up whatever didn't finish. The Mac now genuinely stays awake for the length of a backup.
• A folder Enter Space may not read is a warning, not a failure. When macOS refuses a read — another app's container, a protected system folder — it is counted separately as “no access” in orange instead of a red error, and it no longer fails the run; only a run that could read nothing at all does. Run details now list every item behind each count.
• Backups to a NAS or an object store are much faster on the Mac. A box on your own network now checks 16 files and copies 8 at a time, and S3, B2, Google Cloud Storage and Azure check 64 and copy 32; metered clouds keep the careful pace. A run also ends the moment the transfer does, instead of being held open by catalogue bookkeeping.
• Two wrong verdicts fixed: a byte count containing 504 or 401 was read as an HTTP status, turning a healthy NAS into “destination offline” or “sign-in needed”; and a rolled internal password could stop a healthy run and blame your remote’s credentials.
• The Mac app is Apple silicon only, and the frameworks inside it are trimmed to match, so the download is roughly a quarter smaller. Intel Macs stay on 6.4.2.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 7.0.0 Sep 11 Version 6.4.2
• Fixed a hang that could end in a crash during long backup scans. Enter Space was checking files inside its own Files-app folder to decide whether to skip them — and asking itself those questions while waiting on the answers. It skips them outright now, which also stops iCloud files being pulled down just to be measured.
• The Home dashboard was showing the same problem twice — a backup that had never run produced two separate warnings, and it wasn't only that one. One card per problem now, every card has a close button that works, and they all look like the same set of cards instead of drifting apart.
• Enter Space can test your restores for you. Every so often, when a destination is reachable, it restores a sample and checks the files came back intact — and only tells you if something looks wrong. On by default for destinations on a network, off for external drives, and switchable per backup.
• Restore tests now say what they actually proved. "Verified" means the contents were checked against a checksum; when a destination doesn't publish one, it says so plainly rather than implying more than it knows. Destinations that do publish checksums are now recorded and compared.
• A restore test no longer reports a file you deleted as a backup failure. If the original is gone from your Mac too, the backup removed it on purpose, and Enter Space says so instead of raising an alarm.
• Fixed iPhone and iPad re-uploading an entire photo library. Enter Space keeps a record of what it has already backed up; if it couldn't reach that record it assumed nothing had ever been sent, and started again from the beginning. It now tells "there is nothing there" apart from "I couldn't check", and stops rather than guessing. It also saves its progress as it goes, so a backup that gets interrupted picks up where it left off instead of starting over.
• Enter Space no longer keeps redrawing the screen while it's in the background, which could make it slow enough to quit that iOS shut it down.
• Restore tests stopped failing on Enter Space's own files. The app keeps a little bookkeeping of its own next to your backup, and it had been testing those files as though they were yours. They change constantly, so the test could never pass and running the backup again never cleared it. They are no longer counted as part of a backup or included in its restore tests.
• Backups to an external drive stopped nagging. A drive that has to be plugged in is no longer treated like an always-on server, and a disconnected drive is described as disconnected rather than broken.
• Time Portal opens. It could sit on a spinner forever, or open onto nothing at all; both are fixed, and browsing a large backup index is faster.
• The storage locations you had switched on stopped switching themselves off.
• Enter Space no longer backs up iCloud and File Provider's internal sync scratch, which had grown the local backup index into millions of records and made browsing it crawl.
On Apple Watch:
• The player's controls are big enough to hit. The essentials stay on screen at a proper size and everything else moved into a menu that pauses playback while it's open, so nothing goes by while you read it. Swipe to move between items, swipe up for the menu.
• Hidden items no longer appear in the synced totals. A count is a disclosure, and items behind your passcode are now invisible until you unlock them.
• The folder you pick for a watch face stays picked.
• One volume control, one volume indicator, and the level carries from one video to the next.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.4.2 Aug 26 Version 6.3.1
• Full localization pass: Help, Welcome Guide, Recovery Guide, Backup Setup, Photos/Theater onboarding, paywall, settings units and caps, and home banners now follow your system language across all eight supported languages.
• Product names and UI labels (including Theater, Time Portal, Space Inspector, Git Mirror, and unit pickers) are translated for Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, and Italian.
• Provider picker descriptions and backup health guidance resolve correctly from the string catalog.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.3.1 Aug 11 Version 6.3.0
• Enter Space now speaks your language: the full app is localized into eight languages — Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, and Italian.
• New Feedback & Support: a dedicated "Support Enter Space" experience to reach the developer, share feedback, and leave a rating without hunting for an email address.
• Sync and move reliability: rclone now runs with real concurrency and honest progress totals, moves use fast-list with a "Run it now" button on alerts, and a job full of ghost errors is no longer reported as a failed move.
• Provider reliability: the app asks the destination (and rclone) what the backend actually is instead of guessing from error strings — fixing misleading "lost remote" and unreadable-config failures, and giving two-copies conflicts their own correct advice.
• Interrupted repairs resume properly: a suspended repair no longer waits forever, and leftover files are set aside instead of demanding a decision mid-run.
• Opening Enter Space no longer stops Apple Music.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.3.0 Aug 11 Version 6.2.0
• Fixed backups that reported success while copying nothing. Two faults combined to stop a run before it read a single file, and then hid the failure behind a green check. This could affect any Home or iCloud Drive backup. Failed runs are now reported as failed — if a backup switches to failed after updating, that is this fix telling you the truth.
• Quick Look now works for files on a remote. Previews failed with "The file doesn't exist" for every file type; the real error was being replaced with a misleading one.
• iCloud Drive backups now include your apps' iCloud documents, not just the folder Finder shows. Existing backups gain the coverage automatically, with no duplication and nothing re-uploaded.
• Backing up iCloud no longer fills your Mac. Files that iCloud had offloaded are put back as soon as each one is backed up, so a long first run doesn't pile up on the disk. Files you deliberately keep downloaded stay put.
• Time Portal now shows what your backup actually contains, not only what changed, and restoring a file returns it to its own folder instead of the top level.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.2.0 Aug 3 Version 6.1.7
• Updated the storage engine to rclone 1.75.0, which brings a batch of security fixes: FTP and SFTP connections are hardened against malicious file names, redirects that could leak your S3 or WebDAV credentials are now refused, and a downloaded file can no longer be written outside the folder you picked.
• Steadier file caching — a cached file removed out from under the app no longer causes read errors, and seeking inside a file that changed size on the server is fixed.
• Two more S3 providers to choose from when you add a connection: Scality (RING / ARTESCA) and Zero Services.
• Passwords and tokens no longer show up in diagnostic logs while you set up a connection.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.1.7 Aug 1 Version 6.1.6
• Fixed a major memory problem. Left running, Enter Space could grow to tens of gigabytes of memory — enough to slow your whole Mac down and push it into swap. It now stays flat no matter how long it runs or how much it syncs.
• Search now actually searches subfolders. Searching a remote only ever looked at the folder you were in and silently skipped everything nested inside it, so results were missing files that were plainly there.
• Browsing and indexing large cloud folders is far lighter. Listing a big remote used to build up work for every single folder without limit; it now uses your provider's own fast listing wherever that is supported, and a bounded walk everywhere else.
• Scheduled syncs that watch a busy folder no longer pile up internal work, so a sync that has been running all day stays as responsive as one that just started. 6.1.6 Jul 29 Apple Watch: fixed a bug where opening a folder hid the back button — you can always get back to your library now. Layout, sort, and filter moved into a redesigned View Options menu (tap the button top-right, or press and hold the list) with a clean frosted backdrop.
Performance: browsing and syncing large libraries on Apple Watch is faster and uses far less memory, and the app is lighter on memory across the board.
Plus stability fixes. 6.1.3 Jul 27 Version 6.1.1
• Fixed: local history and offline data could disappear when the app refreshed its internal security key. Bandwidth history, offline pins, media indexes, sync logs, and related encrypted stores now keep working across password rolls instead of starting empty.
• Offline folders, transfers, and new storage connections are more reliable foundations for day-to-day use.
• Review prompts are smarter: they only follow real wins (successful syncs, transfers, offline pins, and new remotes), wait for a fair cooldown, and show correctly on Mac even from the menu bar.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.1.1 Jul 21

Version History Version 7.0.13
• Photos Backup now keeps the motion in Live Photos. It used to upload only the still image; the video part is now uploaded alongside it, under a matching filename.
• The code editor, media viewer, Siri phrases and Finder extension are now translated into more languages. 7.0.13 1d ago Version 7.0.12
• Photos Backup now keeps the motion in Live Photos. It used to upload only the still image; the video part is now uploaded alongside it, under a matching filename. 7.0.12 2d ago Version 7.0.11
• Photos Backup now uploads to every S3-compatible service. On some services every photo failed to upload, while ordinary uploads to the same place worked.
• When an upload fails, the Activity Log now shows the reason the service gave. 7.0.11 3d ago Version 7.0.10

6.1.1 Jul 21 Version 6.1.0
THE MEDIA LIBRARY RELEASE — two new experiences over your existing storage. No new accounts, no new servers, end-to-end private.
PHOTOS LIBRARY: an Apple-Photos-style library over any of your remotes — timeline, Places map, Albums, Favorites, search, Live Photos, true RAW develops, and 360° viewing. Indexed into a private, encrypted on-device library that syncs across your devices without any server. It now keeps itself up to date: it re-checks your folders when you open it, and immediately when a scheduled sync adds new media — even if Photos wasn't open at the time. New media is indexed newest-first, so a photo added today shows up right away instead of behind years of back catalogue.
NEW — ALBUM EDITING: add a selection to a new or existing album, or remove it from one. Changes are saved alongside your files on your own storage, so they survive a rescan and travel with the photos. Editing pauses (and tells you which sync is responsible) when a scheduled sync would overwrite your changes.
THEATER: a streaming-service experience for your movie & TV folders — Continue Watching, Suggested for You and genre shelves with TMDB artwork and details (works without a TMDB key too), resume prompts that never spoil, and episode auto-advance. Rescanning is now dramatically faster: it only identifies genuinely new files instead of re-checking every title, and refreshes on its own when a sync adds titles.
A PLAYER BUILT FOR YOUR FILES: Enter Space's own video player on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV — glass controls, scrubbing, previous/next episode, and audio/subtitle menus that reliably switch real-world multi-track files, with your choices remembered across resume, episodes, launches, and devices.
APPLE TV: Theater is first-class — native shelves, a custom glass player (swipe the time bar to scrub), standalone setup right on the TV, and a Home tab that leads with your Continue Watching shelf. Watch history roams over iCloud.
OFFLINE EVERYTHING: download photos, albums, movies, seasons, or whole series — encrypted at rest on-device, with a free-space guard.
Also fixed: "Add Photos Folder" no longer opens a blank panel when you pick a storage location; the Photos timeline scroller starts at the top with your newest photos and follows along as you scroll; deleted storage connections no longer come back on their own; and empty folders in the folder picker appear instantly.
Plus: rclone engine updated to 1.74.4 (five upstream security fixes), configuration-sync hardening with rotated local backups, EXIF-accurate capture dates, orientation-correct thumbnails everywhere, and major performance work on every platform. 6.1.0 Jul 16 Version 5.8.0
• NEW — Request Files: ask anyone to send you files, no account needed on their end. On S3-compatible storage the app creates an expiring, upload-only link locked to a folder you pick (it can never read or delete anything); on Dropbox it uses native File Requests. Find it in a storage location's menu.
• Google Drive and Google Photos now require your own API credentials: due to a decision by Google, shared access is going away. New connections ask for a Client ID and Secret (with a step-by-step guide linked), and existing Google connections show a warning that walks you through updating and re-authenticating — avoiding any disruption.
• Linked folders can be repaired in place: if macOS ever revokes the app's saved permission to a folder (or the folder moves), tap "Fix Folder Link" to re-select it — your syncs and settings stay intact.
• Time Portal now finds backup versions no matter where you open it from — versions created by the backup walkthrough were previously only visible when browsing the exact backup folder.
• Backups to the same storage no longer share a versions folder (which could mix snapshots and let one backup's cleanup delete another's history) — existing setups are migrated automatically.
• Fixed animated images (GIFs and more) showing a black screen in the media viewer — they now play properly, matching their thumbnails.
• Time Portal opens dramatically faster: finding your backup snapshots now takes one request instead of one per snapshot, browsing a snapshot loads only the folder you're looking at instead of the entire backup tree, and folders you've already visited reopen instantly.
• Stopped the endless "Sync Error" notifications from on-change backups: changed files are now checked against your sync's own exclude rules before copying, and files macOS itself refuses to let any app read (hidden system caches) are quietly skipped instead of failing over and over.
• Dragging files from a cloud remote to Finder works again on Mac — it was saving a tiny placeholder instead of the real file, for both single files and multi-selections.
• Dragging folders to Finder works too: a false "corrupted on transfer" alarm from certain storage providers no longer cancels the whole folder, and folders inside a multi-selection now download correctly.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.8.0 Jul 9 Version 5.7.5
• Fixed a bug where an invisible second copy of the app could keep running in the background — using lots of memory, CPU, and battery — and interfere with the app's connection to your remotes the next time you opened it. If your storage locations recently stopped loading until a restart or reboot, this was why.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.5 Jul 5 Version 5.7.4
• Renaming a remote now allows spaces: creating a remote already let you put spaces in the name, but the Rename screen wouldn't — the two sides now match, so you can rename to a name with spaces just like when you create one.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.4 Jul 3 Version 5.7.3
• Much faster folder listing: browsing remotes (especially if you have S3/B2 buckets) is no longer slowed down by the storage capacity bars loading in the background — folders open right away again.
• Photos Backup fix: creating or editing a Photos Backup scheduled sync no longer gets stuck on a "Folder Access Required" message you couldn't clear — you can save it again.
• Apple Watch sync no longer goes backwards: if a folder was briefly unavailable mid-sync, your watch could lose photos and videos it had already downloaded and then re-sync everything. Already-synced media now stays put through a hiccup.
• Apple Watch sync is leaner: small photos and clips are no longer needlessly re-uploaded on every sync, saving battery and data.

version 7.0.10
posted on 2026-10-02
Version History Version 7.0.10
• Folders you've opened before now keep up with your storage: files added, changed or deleted elsewhere appear or disappear on their own.
• On Apple Watch, the Digital Crown now adjusts the volume while a video or song plays, with the familiar volume indicator beside the crown. Drag the progress bar to move through a track. 7.0.10 6d ago Version 7.0.8

• NEW Widgets for iPhone, iPad & Mac: a Photo Slideshow of your favorites, a Storage Dashboard with per-location used/free bars, a Bandwidth monitor, and a Sync Status board for your scheduled syncs — all styled with the starfield and tappable straight to the right place in the app.
• Storage at a glance: every storage location now shows a thin used/free capacity bar, with the full readout in its context menu — remotes and linked local folders alike. Make it your own in Settings: hide the bars, or switch them to monochrome.
• iCloud sync across your devices: Apple Watch favorites and hidden flags, plus your recently-played list and exact playback position, now follow you from one device to the next.
• Apple Watch polish: slideshows advance when a track ends, VR/360 media is skipped (the watch can't project it), look-alike photos are de-duplicated, and watch copies are never larger than the original.
• Calmer syncing: background transfers pause while you're playing media or browsing, costly changes ask before they resync, and folder sizes and counts update live during a sync.
• Fixes: tapping one folder in the Sync / Offline lists no longer expands them all, and several deep links now land exactly where you tapped.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.2 Jun 24 Version 5.6.0
• NEW Apple Watch app: sync folders of photos, videos, and music to your watch — transcoded to watch-friendly sizes, encrypted end to end, and delivered through your private iCloud so they play with your phone off or out of reach. Library, Recents, and Favorites browsing, crown-zoom photos, video and background audio playback, storage management with an optional cap, and streaming of full-quality originals from your iPhone when it's nearby, plus a watch-face photo complication that flips through a folder you pick — tap to open a photo, turn the crown to zoom, and it stays legible on tinted faces.
• Keep Offline: pin any folder of any remote for a complete, encrypted local mirror that stays fresh automatically — browse and preview it even when the remote is unreachable. Per-pin Wi-Fi-only toggle and a new Settings → Offline Files management screen.
• Spotlight: find your cloud files in device-wide search, by name and by content (text-like files and PDFs in local sources). You choose what's indexed — hidden files, private remotes, and encrypted remotes stay out unless explicitly opted in.
• Shortcuts: Enter Space's full feature surface is now available as chainable App Intents — file operations, share links, offline pins, scheduled syncs, Time Portal recovery, Space Inspector reports, Doppel duplicate scans, git commit & push, and curated settings (secrets are structurally excluded).
• Scheduled syncs: new rate-limit controls — a transactions-per-second cap and low-level retries for providers with unpredictable limits like pCloud, plus automatic abort with a clear message if a destination keeps rate-limiting.
• Fixes: video files no longer classify as images in remote listings, bandwidth statistics no longer pin a CPU core, and IP address validation requires a full dotted quad.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.6.0 Jun 16 Version 5.5.1
• Dragging items onto a folder in the file browser now moves them into that folder, instead of re-uploading a copy wrapped in an extra folder.
• Media gallery on Mac: left/right arrow keys navigate, space bar plays/pauses the slideshow.
• Storage list "recently used" sorting now reflects the remotes you actually open.
• Fixed a crash in the code editor when editing a file while search results were highlighted (for example selecting lines and pressing delete).
• Encrypted remotes created from a folder's context menu while browsing a local folder now appear in the Storage list — previously they were created but never shown.
• Creating an encrypted remote now warns when the name is already taken instead of silently overwriting the existing configuration.
• Improved crash diagnostics for the bundled rclone engine.

version 7.0.8

Version History Version 7.0.8
• More of Enter Space now appears in your language: the Photos sidebar and timeline, file states and counts in Time Portal, Doppel's match types, the code editor's status bar, and section titles on Apple TV.
• Downloading a whole folder from Finder works again on the Mac.
• Long downloads in Finder and the Files app are no longer cut off after ten minutes, and a download that fails now tells you why straight away. 7.0.8 6h ago Version 7.0.7
7.0.7 1d ago Version 7.0.5
7.0.5 2d ago Version 7.0.4
• Encrypted (crypt) remotes now open in the Files app and Finder. The key Enter Space prepares for them stopped working whenever any of your devices renewed its internal password, so the Files app could almost never use it. After updating, open each encrypted remote in Enter Space once. 7.0.4 3d ago Version 7.0.3
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.3 Jun 29 Version 5.7.0
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.5.1 Jun 11 Version 5.5.0
• Redesigned main screen — your cloud remotes and local folders now share one unified, sortable "Storage" list (sort by name or most‑recently‑used).
• Cleaner header — quick buttons to open Files, add storage, get Help, and reach Settings, plus a refreshed Home that surfaces Scheduled Syncs, favorites, and recently played at a glance.
• Fixed setting up OneDrive, Koofr, and other providers that ask follow‑up questions — the extra configuration steps now appear reliably and the remote saves correctly the first time.
• Fixed the Files / Finder integration not updating when you enable or disable a remote, and improved iCloud sync of your configuration across your devices.
• Larger, crisper Enter Space glyph in the Mac menu bar and Finder sidebar.
• Added "Report an Issue" and "Suggest a Feature" right inside the Help tab.

7.0.0 6d ago Version 6.4.2
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.3 Jun 29 Version 5.7.0
Thanks for using Enter Space!
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.5.0 Jun 10 • Fixed: on iPhone and iPad, the + button on the Local tab now opens the folder picker again, so you can add a bookmark to any folder. (Mac was unaffected.)
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.4.2 Jun 7 Stability and engine updates:
• Updated the bundled rclone engine to 1.74.3 (latest stable) for the newest backend fixes and improvements.
• Fixed a crash that could happen at launch and while adding a cloud account.
• Fixed "server is not available" appearing right after you authorize a provider (such as pCloud) — signing in to add a remote now reliably reconnects to the on-device engine before completing.
• Hardened how your configuration is loaded so your remotes always show up.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.4.1 Jun 6 Comic book reader. Open any .cbz, .cbt, .cb7, or .cbr archive as a Media Gallery session. Pages display in natural reading order, animated GIF / WEBP pages stay animated, ZIP64 archives over 4 GB are supported, and extracted pages are encrypted at rest with a fresh AES-256-GCM session key — the key lives only in memory and is dropped along with the temp cache the moment you close the gallery.
Safer crypt-to-crypt scheduled syncs. Syncing between two encrypted remotes now compares the actual decrypted passwords (not the random-nonce obscured form), so the "Switch to Encrypted Blob Sync" optimization is only offered when the keys are truly interchangeable. A new red key-slash warning calls out crypt pairs whose passwords actually differ — useful for catching "I thought these were the same" misconfigurations before a sync runs. 5.4.0 Jun 5 * Fixes an issue with Git Commit for repos without an identity defined by adding a view to set the Identity in the Git Panel of the Code Editor 5.3.3 May 28

Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.3 Jun 29 Version 5.7.0
Thanks for using Enter Space!
Thanks for using Enter Space!
5.4.0 Jun 5 * Fixes an issue with Git Commit for repos without an identity defined by adding a view to set the Identity in the Git Panel of the Code Editor 5.3.3 May 28 * Address issue with Date Time Parsing for certain Locales 5.3.2 May 27 * Expanded supported media types for Media Gallery & Preview
* Upgraded Rclone Library version to 1.74.2 5.3.1 May 26 + Adds a backup guide that walks you through setting up a comprehensive backup solution including end to end encryption and coverage for your Documents, Photos Library and encourages following a 3-2-1 industry best practice
+ Adds simple banners to the home tab when you don't quite have backups setup properly or they need some
+ Adds support for using Enter Space as Document storage for any other app on iOS by configuring a new setting to set a default storage path on your chosen remote.
* Improves Scheduled Syncs handling of Links with a few more advanced option. 5.3.0 May 21 + Adds support for NFS based Serves that bring significant performance boosts when mounted on macOS
* Boosts performance of all other Serve based settings thanks to Rclone's VFS being utilized
* Improves tvOS Add/Edit Remote forms when selecting a remote and path by pulling inspiration from the remote selection and path browsing UIs already present in iOS and macOS platforms
* Upgrades Rclone library version to 1.74.1
* Improves the overall security of tvOS show hidden remote action to avoid impersonation attempts from multiple Apple TVs on the network.
* Apple TV Show Hidden Remotes now push a notification to your iOS and macOS devices so you know when the request is made without having to manually open it up to check. 5.2.0 May 18
version 6.3.1

Version History Version 6.3.1
• Review prompts are smarter: they only follow real wins (successful syncs, transfers, offline pins, and new remotes), wait for a fair cooldown, and show correctly on Mac even from the menu bar.

version 6.1.1

Version History Version 6.1.1
• Fixed: local history and offline data could disappear when the app refreshed its internal security key. Bandwidth history, offline pins, media indexes, sync logs, and related encrypted stores now keep working across password rolls instead of starting empty.
• Offline folders, transfers, and new storage connections are more reliable foundations for day-to-day use.
• Review prompts are smarter: they only follow real wins (successful syncs, transfers, offline pins, and new remotes), wait for a fair cooldown, and show correctly on Mac even from the menu bar.
Thanks for using Enter Space! 6.1.1 3d ago Version 6.1.0
Thanks for using Enter Space! 5.7.3 Jun 29 Version 5.7.0
Thanks for using Enter Space!
Thanks for using Enter Space!
